Kindergarden program prepares kids to be well-supported for the first grade level. Montessori philosophy helps children to develop self-confidence, problem solving skill, sense of responsibility, and respect to others which helps them to express themselves with ease when they start to first grade. They can adapt well to their new setting fairly quickly, making new friends, and succeeding within the definition of success understood in their new school. Since children in the Montessori setting are encouraged to express their feelings politely and to show respect toward adults and peers, they carry those socialization skills into future.
In addition, in Gardenya Montessori School, children are seen as “little scientists”, so they are encouraged to explore their environment. Children in kindergarden learn the importance of respecting one another, teachers, parents, and their environment through experience; so that they can complete the orientation process in shorten time.
Kindergarden program organizes Parent Information Seminars about transition to first grade which helps to complete this transition in a smooth process.
